Leadership Nebraska selects local participant.
LINCOLN – The NE Chamber Foundation is pleased to announce that Tim Craig has been
selected to participate in Leadership Nebraska Class XVI.
Born and raised in rural Sidney, Tim Craig, the Chief Operations Officer (COO) of Adams Industries, is a resilient business and community leader in western Nebraska. With a diverse background spanning 15 years in law enforcement, including roles as Patrol Sergeant and Team Leader for Cheyenne County SWAT, Tim brings extensive experience in leadership and problem-solving to his current role.
Tim’s devotion to Sidney and its people is evident through his service to several local organizations. He volunteered with the Sidney Angels, where he engaged in sports activities tailored for children and adults with disabilities, fostering a sense of joy and belonging within the community and is now volunteering as an instructor for 4H shotgun shooting sport program. As an enthusiastic participant for Sidney’s E3 Program (Energizing Entrepreneurial Ecosystems), he plays a crucial role in the growth of a vibrant environment for entrepreneurs, offering guidance in business planning, securing funding, and navigating legal intricacies. He also serves as a Volunteer Advisory Board Member for the Western Nebraska Community College CDL driver training program. Additionally, he is a graduate of Leadership Cheyenne County, where he honed his civic and business leadership skills. At Adams Industries, Tim oversees operations across multiple divisions, including Adams Trucking, Adams Logistics, Adams Warehousing, and Adams Industrial Railroad, comprising approximately 125 employees. His responsibilities include expanding into new markets, strengthening customer relationships, negotiating contracts, defining operational standards and
maintaining budgets.
Leadership Nebraska presented by Medica was founded in 2006 to identify current and emerging leaders throughout the state, enhance their leadership skills and deepen their knowledge of the challenges and opportunities facing Nebraska.
Participants have been selected from across the state and possess varied backgrounds and diverse talents. All candidates have demonstrated an abiding interest in Nebraska and its future.
The seven-month program covers a broad range of key Nebraska issues, including economic development, workforce and education, agriculture and environment, health care, education, government and policy development.
“The Nebraska Chamber is pleased to welcome the new Leadership Nebraska class,” said Bryan Slone, NE Chamber President. “Once again, the class includes incredibly talented professionals from throughout the state who are already making a difference in their organizations and communities. The Leadership Nebraska experience will provide them with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to learn much more about the entire state and build not only their knowledge but their networks as they continue their professional careers. As I have traveled the state and seen the amazing things that many of our communities are doing to grow our state and attract and retain young people and families, it has confirmed to me that above all else, leadership matters! I can’t wait to see what this class of leaders does going forward, much like all the Leadership Alumni before them.”
